Dachshund Rescue
Dachshund Rescues have a variety of Dachshunds for adoption including: standard dachshunds, short haired dachshunds, long haired dachshunds, wire haired dachshunds and miniature Dachshunds. Dachshund Rescues commonly care for Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes exclusively.
Dachshund Rescues that offer Dachshunds for adoption are generally not for profit organizations with the purpose to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need.
Dachshund Rescue groups are mostly made up of experienced independent rescue individuals. On any given year, Dachshund Rescues place 1000's of wiener dogs to new, loving permanent homes through Dachshund adoptions.
Many rescued Dachshunds spend a short time under observation and in many cases foster care so their behavior can be evaluated before they are offered for adoption. The goal is to offer potential adopters information on how their new Dachshund may interact with their existing family members and other pets. These are critical components to a good match for finding a Dachshund in need a new home.
Dachshund Rescue proceeds are used to help the many sick, scared and abused Dachshunds that come through their doors every year. We encourage you to help them continue their mission by adopting a Dachshund that has been rescued as an alternative to purchasing from breeders.
